Ever have one of those days where everything seems to be off?
Maybe that should have read: Ever have one of those days when nothing seems to quite fit?
... and, as this day doesn’t fit; neither do either of those sentences ...
seem to fit, that is.
It’s as if everything has shifted ever-so slightly to the left, the sun isn’t quite the right hue, background noise
is just a little too distinct, and everything seems to be happening a fraction of a second before it is supposed to.
Like each piece in the puzzle of life doesn’t quite fit together as tightly as it did yesterday.
The universe is far more convoluted than anyone has ever imagined, but even in its complexity there are some
very simple, elegant, and vitally important rules that hold it all together.
Today it feels like one of those days when you wake up and know that somewhere — sometime last night —
someone or something bent one of those rules… if even only ever so slightly.
